Inspired by the open-mesh agricultural fences we see all over Prince Edward County, VTLA designed a custom version for one of our waterfront projects. The intention was to meet the bylaw requirements for pool enclosures, coupled with a visible and direct connection to the dynamics of Lake Ontario. Collaboration was key! Together with our awesome clients, and the talents of Patric Coleman of Cobalt Fabrication and landscape contractor David Wright of Built Wright, we designed the mesh frame with top and bottom welded horizontal rods to increase structural stability, doing away with the typical wooden frame that would obstruct the view. Each stainless steel fence panel is set within Ontario cedar posts with slim cedar bracing and sturdy hardware.
