CONCRETE BLOOM BURST
CONCEPT SPACES
Just as the hardiest plants push through the cracks in our built landscapes, the most creative moments in our culture unexpectedly and courageously push through the cracks of society.
A one hundred and eighty two foot linear garden, featured in the central hallway of Canada’s largest interior horticultural show, celebrates the latent splendor of overlooked intuitions of creativity with species of deciduous trees, shrubs, grasses and perennials bursting through the concrete and metal rubble of discarded shards of urban fabric. Cracks widen and narrow along the length emphasizing the friction that sparks the energy fundamental to a city culture that is experimental, challenging and rich.
